Our Story
Your Neighbor in Water Damage Recovery
WaterTite Mitigation was built on a simple idea: when water damages your home, you deserve a neighbor who shows up fast, works with integrity, and stays until the job is done right.
Meet the Founder
John Hutson
John Hutson has spent years working in the exterior services industry across Metro Atlanta. After seeing firsthand how homeowners struggled to find trustworthy, fast-responding water damage mitigation companies, he decided to build the company he wished existed when his own family needed help.
Based right here in Lawrenceville, Georgia, WaterTite Mitigation was founded on the belief that water damage restoration should not be a confusing, stressful ordeal. John earned his IICRC certifications because he believes that proper training is not optional when someone trusts you with their home. Every technician on the WaterTite team follows the same standard.
What sets John apart is his approach: calm, methodical, and deeply respectful of what your home means to you. He has built WaterTite around the principle that you should never have to wonder what is happening with your restoration. That is why every WaterTite client gets access to a real-time portal where they can see moisture readings, photos, and progress updates any time, day or night.
When John is not restoring homes, you will find him in Gwinnett County, where he lives with his family. He coaches local youth sports and is active in the Lawrenceville business community. For John, WaterTite is not just a company. It is a promise to his neighbors.
